SICIS Jewels collaborated with the legendary House of Harry Winston to create intricate micromosaic watch dials for the Premier Precious Micromosaic Automatic 36mm collection — a series of limited-edition timepieces that brought together Swiss watchmaking, high jewelry, diamonds, and the ancient art of mosaic.

For SICIS, the collaboration was a celebration of its deepest identity: transforming mosaic from a monumental decorative art into something intimate, precious, and wearable. For Harry Winston, a house synonymous with extraordinary gemstones and refined craftsmanship, micromosaic offered a rare artistic language through which color, light, and detail could live on the dial of a watch.

Each dial was handmade in Ravenna, Italy, the city where SICIS was born and where the art of mosaic has flourished for centuries. Harry Winston describes the technique as an “inimitable luxury made by hand in Ravenna,” with vibrant glass patterns highlighted by diamonds in an artistic union designed to shine for a lifetime.

The collection was part of Harry Winston’s Métiers d’Art universe, dedicated to rare decorative crafts and exceptional handwork.The Premier Precious Micromosaic timepieces were presented in 18-karat white gold and rose gold cases, with each dial composition created as part of a limited production.

At the heart of the collaboration was the dial itself: a miniature canvas composed of tiny fragments of tesserae, arranged by hand into vivid geometric compositions. Shades of turquoise, blue, white, red, brown, and nude created luminous patterns that changed with the light, while Harry Winston diamonds added brilliance and depth to the design. 

What made the project extraordinary was the scale. Mosaic is often associated with architecture, grand interiors, and monumental surfaces. SICIS has long reimagined that heritage through micromosaic, reducing the scale without losing the richness of the art form. On a watch dial, every fragment must be placed with absolute precision. 

The result was a dialogue between two forms of excellence: the technical rigor of fine watchmaking and the poetic craftsmanship of micromosaic. The 36 mm gold cases, diamond-set bezels and lugs, sapphire crystal casebacks, and automatic HW2008 movement framed the dials as true works of wearable art.
